Fortificated or enriched foods - meaning ordinary foods with extra nutrients added - are not as common in Denmark as in other countries.

All permitted food additives, among these the nutrients, are included in the Positive List. From this list, it appears which food additives that are permitted in which foods and in which amounts. The newest Positive List was published on 14 February 2008.
